At the first major televised tournament of 2011, Taylormade has already sparked a curiosity about their new golfing equipment for the New Year.  At the Farmers Insurance Open where big name golfers like Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson are making their season debut, Taylormade is perhaps stealing the spot light from them by marketing their new Taylormade R11 driver.

At the Farmers Insurance Open Taylormade has sort of colored the tournament in white.  Viewers have probably noticed the all white R11 drivers that certain PGA golfers are playing with, as well as their all white outfits, as well as Taylormade’s staff in attendance with all white, and an all white equipment van.  This is all coordinated to bring a lot of interest in their new 2011 driver, the R11.

Some key points about the R11 is the continuance of the adjustable head drivers that were introduced and became so popular last year.  That same innovation in drivers is still going strong for this year.  The driver has movable weights and separate adjustments for face angle and lie.  Players have the option to correct their swing and driver through their own customization.  This driver is not available in stores just yet but is scheduled to be released the first week in February.

The R11 driver is only one part in a series of new golf clubs being released by Taylormade.  The other clubs in their lineup are the TP Driver, Fairway Wood, TP Fairway Wood, and Rescue Hybrid.  In the category of irons there are three different types of irons that are rumored to be released this year as well.  They are the Taylormade MB, MC, and CB irons.  Each are designed for a certain skill level of golfer.

The Taylormade Burner SuperFast 2.0 lineup that was released last year is their current series of clubs that are out right now.  The Superfast 2.0 driver is the lightest driver the company has made which is designed to give golfers a faster swing and more distance.
